Qatar Charity (QC) has awarded the Charity Partner (CP) trademark in the bronze category to Al Kawther Water Treatment (Qatarat), after signing a co-operation agreement.
The pact is part of Qatarat’s keenness to participate, as a charity partner, in the programmes and activities organised by QC. It comes in view of QC's firm commitment to providing the necessary support to the target groups, as part of its social responsibility towards the community.
The agreement was signed by Ahmad Yousef Fakhroo, CEO’s assistant for the Resources Development and Media sector at QC and Ahmed Gaafer, managing director of Al Fahad Food Products Factory, to whom Qatarat belongs.
Fakhroo welcomed Qatarat into the ‘CP’ family, emphasising QC's keenness to develop the community partnerships system. He also noted that the CP trademark is considered to be the first of its kind in the field of supporting humanitarian work, and is awarded to companies within the framework of social responsibility.
Fakhroo added that QC attaches great importance to expanding co-operation with establishments, bodies and individuals in the country to implement social responsibility programmes and initiatives and provide service to the community. He also called on companies and organisations to join the CP programme to contribute to charitable work, especially in Ramadan, the month of giving and doing good.
Gaafer expressed his pride in signing the agreement with QC, which is one of the largest humanitarian organisations working at home and abroad, and known for its remarkable efforts in delivering aid to underprivileged across the world. He added that joining the ‘CP’ programme stems from Qatarat’s belief in the social responsibility towards the community, hoping for the continuation of partnership with QC to include other projects and areas in the near future.
