Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported that some of those have already dedicated special spaces for Ramadan items and necessities while posting various posters welcoming the advent of Ramadan. Besides, many of them made special offers on Ramadan basket or box, which include sure, flour, cooking oil, rice, macaroni tea, lentil, beans, dates and other food items.
A number of retail executives stressed that Ramadan is considered one of the best sales seasons for them as people often buy considerable amounts of related goods, especially food items, which drives retailers to maintain more stock and get ready early by launching various special offers and promotions. Similarly, many consumers are keen to buy their essentials ahead of the month especially when it comes to nuts, juices, dried fruits and frozen and canned items to avoid rush hours during the month while delaying the purchases of fresh meat , poultry and vegetables until needed.
