The Al Shamal Municipality, represented by the Health Control Department, carried out an inspection campaign on food establishments within the administrative limits of the municipality. This comes as part of the municipality's preparations for Ramadan. A community kitchen was closed after food was found to be prepared in unsanitary conditions while warnings were given to 25 stores that they should adhere to health requirements. Focus was also given on restaurants, associations, the fish market as well as on shops that sell foodstuffs, which are usually consumed extensively during Ramadan.
