The State of Qatar participated in the 48th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, under the theme of 'Building Partnerships for Unity, Justice, and Development'.
The Qatari delegation to the session was chaired by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.

Qatar's participation in the session comes within the framework of its keenness to support the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to remain an incubator and supporter of the issues of the Islamic nation.
The relationship of the State of Qatar and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is characterized by a long record of cooperation and partnership since the State of Qatar joined the Organization in 1972 and its participation in the 2nd Islamic Summit in Lahore in 1974.
