Fans can apply again for tickets for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 through the First Come First Served sales period that starts from March 23 at 1pm Doha time and ends on March 29 at 12noon Doha time, the world football governing body announced on Monday.
During this sales period, tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, and ticket purchases are processed as a real-time transaction, subject to availability. All successfully purchased tickets will be confirmed immediately to the ticket applicants.
Ticket categories 1, 2 and 3 are available to all fans. The ticket category 4 is only reserved for Qatar residents (for all online sales, at the time of the order, each ticket applicant must provide the domestic address of their residence in Qatar as well as their QID number).
Three types of tickets will be made available during this sales period; Individual Match Tickets, Team Specific Ticket Series and Four-Stadium Ticket Series. FIFA advised fans to place their application as soon as the sales period opens as tickets will most likely sell out quickly.
Meanwhile, yesterday was the last date to make payments for allocated tickets during the first random selection draw sales period that finished on February 8.
Fans across the globe have proven their enthusiasm ahead of football’s biggest celebration as 17 million ticket requests were received in the first sales period, which lasted just 20 days. The largest number of applicants came from the host country.
During the opening random selection draw sales period, FIFA was also inundated by applications from football hotbeds and key markets, such as Argentina, Brazil, England, France, India, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the USA. The most sought-after tickets were for the final on 18 December at Lusail Stadium, with 1.8mn requests for that match alone.

All international fans must also confirm their accommodation plans after purchasing their tickets in order to enter Qatar and access the stadiums.
