His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met Sunday at his Amiri Diwan office with ministers of electricity and energy from Arab countries participating in the 7th General Conference of the Arab Union of Electricity. They included Saudi Energy Minister Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Oil, and Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr Mohamed Abdullatif al-Fares, Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Dr Saleh Ali Hamed al-Kharabsheh, Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Dr Mohamed Shaker El Markabi, Sudanese Minister of Energy and Oil Eng Mohamed Abdullah Mahmoud, Chairman of the Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority Eng Zafer Melhem, Yemen Minister of Electricity and Energy Dr Anwar Mohamed Kalashat, Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water Dr Walid Fayad and Djibouti's Minister of Energy in charge of Natural Resources Yonis Ali Guedi.
His Highness the Amir welcomed the ministers, wishing them success in the conference, which would contribute to strengthening Arab co-operation in energy and electricity.
The Arab ministers expressed their thanks and gratitude to the Amir for the warm reception, hospitality and for Qatar's support for the success of the conference.
