Simon Harrison, president, Australia Qatar Business Council (AQBC) will be visiting Doha from March 19 to meet with Government and Qatari companies to develop mutual trade and investment between the two nations.
This is the first major Australian visit to Qatar since Covid.
Harrison will be visiting with members of Aussie Farmers Mutual and ahead of a major Australian mission later this year.
The focus will be on global food security and also energy.
Harrison noted, “Having lived, and worked, in both nations it is very exciting to see the relationship being reenergised in these very testing times globally. The bilateral relationship is an outward and optimistic partnership with much to offer the world and AQBC looks forward to continuing to play its part in that development”
The AQBC is the only bilateral organisation based in Australia solely devoted to the bilateral Qatar and Australia ties in the over 50 years’ relationship.
