Mahaseel Festival concluded Saturday in the southern area of Katara - the Cultural Village, while the Mahaseel Souq is set to be held until mid-May on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
The festival received a good turnout of visitors and shoppers due to the high quality and freshness of the products offered, as well as their competitive retail prices.

Representatives of some of the participating farms and the supervisers of national companies' stalls at the festival expressed happiness at the organisation of the event. They appreciated the continued success of the festival in its sixth edition, highlighting the reputation enjoyed by local products such as vegetables, fruits, honey, dates, poultry and red meat in addition to milk and other dairy products, and juices.

The farm owners stressed that the festival has become a landmark in the field and a much sought-after event in the local market, with shoppers considering it as their prime destination for high-quality fresh products.

Salman al-Nuaimi, head of the organising committee of the festival, said this edition of the festival has seen a high turnout of customers and greater response from local farms and food producers across major sectors in the country. He also thanked the Ministry of Municipality and the Qatari Farmers' Forum for their continuous co-operation in the area of community service and for supporting Qatari products.
