The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) is taking part in the Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition (AgriteQ), running until March 14 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC).
In a special pavilion, the ministry is showcasing some of its most prominent initiatives launched to support Qatari products and their competitiveness in the local, regional and international markets.
The MoCI will also spotlight some of the laws and legislation passed to stimulate domestic and foreign investment, including the law regulating public-private partnership, and the law regulating the investment of non-Qatari capital in economic activity. Key initiatives aimed at simplifying Qatar’s business environment will also be on display, including the Single Window services and the ministry’s e-services available via its website and mobile application.
Additionally, the MoCI will highlight various efforts in achieving food security, monitoring the State's strategic stock, monitoring markets and
supervising the development and regulation of central markets.
"AgriteQ is an invaluable opportunity for co-operation and knowledge exchange between local and international institutions. The platform effectively promotes investment in agricultural projects and facilitates access to the latest technological innovations, which contribute to agricultural production and food security," the ministry said in a statement.
