Some 60 world-renowned speakers and experts in the field of smart cities will gather in Qatar for the Smart City Expo Doha 2022, organised by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and hosted by Msheireb Downtown Doha on March 29 and 30.
Smart City Expo Doha 2022 will bring together prominent experts from around the globe to share ideas – and find solutions – on creating a better, more sustainable future for cities and their citizens.
The conference venue, Doha’s newly rebuilt Msheireb district, is itself renowned as a landmark development for how leveraging CT and smart design can transform people’s quality of life in the inner city.
Following the success of the Qitcom Smart City Expo in 2019, Smart City Expo Doha 2022 is sponsored by Platinum Partner Ooredoo and in partnership with Fira de Barcelona, the renowned organisers of the Smart City Expo World Congress.
Smart City Expo Doha 2022 features high-profile international and local keynote speakers, more than 100 exhibitors, 60 speakers and experts-in the field of smart cities from around the world, 2,500 expected visitors and delegates from over 20 countries.
The key topics for discussion at Smart City Expo Doha 2022 will include Sustainable Cities, Reshaping Digital Public Services, Global Economy and Digital Readiness, and Sport Events in a Connected Society.

Delegates attending Smart City Expo Doha 2022 will focus on today’s most pressing challenges: climate change, environmental sustainability, and smart urban planning. Under the theme of ‘Sustainable Future of Resilience’, the Expo will host celebrated ‘smart city’ experts to explain, discuss and exchange innovative ideas on urban development – in particular, how technology can improve quality of life in our cities and contribute towards knowledge economy growth.
