The Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) is participating in the fifth edition of the Najah Qatari festival as a platinum sponsor. The three-day event began at Qatar National Convention Centre yesterday.
In a press statement on Thursday, Kahramaa said its participation in this year's edition of the festival is marked by the presence of its creativity, innovation and scientific research incubator, which is a body designated by the corporation to support creative minds and ideas.
The incubator is concerned with adopting research and innovative ideas related to the electricity and water sector, whether it is from Kahramaa's staff or from outside it, highlighting the importance of creativity and innovation in developing the work of government institutions.
Rashid al-Rahimi, head of the creativity, innovation and scientific research incubator, expressed happiness at this participation and stressed the importance of such events and festivals in "supporting the march of success and excellence for Qataris for the benefit of their community".
Al-Rahimi said, "Success, as we understand it in Kahramaa, passes through creativity and innovation, as we constantly try to intensify efforts to make the work environment one that stimulates the creative thinking process while positively reflecting on the institution’s performance indicators and the personal development of its cadres.”
Kahramaa also showcases, through its pavilion, a group of pioneering digital projects implemented by the Information Technology Department. Besides, a programme of the Project Management Office has been presented under the supervision of the Contracts and Agreements Department. Visitors to the pavilion can view Kahramaa's latest strategic and infrastructure projects that are being implemented according to the latest technology available globally.
The corporation's engineers and employees at the pavilion also give a presentation on Kahramaa's ambitious strategy for 2022-2026 in a positive and interactive atmosphere.
