HE Sultan bin Rashid al-Khater, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, met with a delegation from the US Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU), headed by its chairman James Nevels during their current visit to Doha. The officials discussed ways to enhance co-operation between the two sides in the commercial, investment, and industrial fields. Al-Khater highlighted the economic policies Qatar has put in place to support the private sector, and pointed to the incentives, legislations, and promising opportunities that encourage foreign investment for companies wishing to participate in Qatar’s economy. The BCIU was established in 1955 as a non-profit organisation that aims to provide consultancy and training to international companies. It holds many high-level events that bring together state leaders, ministers, business leaders, economic experts, and heads of international organisations, to spark action-producing dialogue in support of international trade.
