Qatar’s housebuilding industry stands to gain from direct investments related to the country's hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, according to the organiser of the latest edition of Build Your House Exhibition (BYH), which is slated from March 28 to 30 at Halls 8 and 9 at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).
Speaking about BYH 2022, Rawad Sleem, co-founder and general manager of NeXTfairs for Exhibitions and Conferences, said: “This edition of BYH is a very special show held in a significant year for Qatar.
“As the country prepares to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, we are privileged to witness the preparation and growth of this global event and benefit from the direct investment that this major sporting event brings.”
He added, “To welcome such an occasion, we have prepared a few featured programmes to enrich the BYH exhibition and visitor experience. Attendees will be able to source consultants, contractors, and suppliers to build or renovate their houses and learn more about global industry trends and government regulations related to housing in Qatar. In addition, they will gain valuable insight enabling them to understand the complete construction cycle and planning processes.”
BYH exhibition is a homebuilding event for Qataris to seek consultants, contractors, and suppliers. It was created to stimulate and aid the development of Qatar’s housebuilding industry.
A catalyst for collaboration, BYH connects Qatari homebuilders with the contractors to bring their dream homes to life. Attendees can look forward to the exhibition’s Knowledge Sharing Conference and Future and Smart Living Conference, which promises to share inspiration, innovation, and practical guidance.
BYH exhibition is considered a major platform in residential design, construction, and other related sectors in Qatar. It is a crucial link between consultants, contractors, suppliers, smart solutions, general services companies, and Qatari citizens who wish to build or modernise their homes.
Guests can look forward to visiting over 150 exhibitors, tapping into insight shared by local ministries and government entities, and discovering global design and smart technology trends.
BYH exhibition also nurtures the development of local interior design talent. The annual Junior Designer Competition, held in collaboration with VCUarts Qatar, enables students to hone their interior design skills and display their work at a dedicated stand within the exhibition.
To attend BYH exhibition, visitors should pre-register via the visitor portal, which is now open. Daily opening times are from 10am to 10pm. For more information, visit
