HSBC welcomes the freshly recruited Qatari graduates into HSBC’s Graduates Programme, a rigorous 24-month training scheme to develop exceptional local talents as future leaders in the banking and finance sectors.
“The intake of new recruits underlines our commitment to investing, developing, and retaining talented individuals who will lead our business into the future and perfectly aligns with the Qatar National Vision 2030’s human development pillar.
“The candidates that were recruited for the Graduates Programme are outstanding talents and we are thrilled to welcome them as part of our team,” said Shamsa al-Fahd, head of Human Resources at HSBC Qatar.
The 18 to 24 months Graduates Programme is supported by the Ministry of Labour. The programme includes extensive on-the-job training with opportunities to work in different business areas within the bank.
New recruits will also have mentors within the business who will guide them and support their personal and career development. Post successful completion of the Graduates Programme, the graduates will be allocated to their respective departments within the bank.
Hussain al-Sharshani, head of Nationalisation and Local Talent, said: “At HSBC, we energise for growth, a strategic pillar that aims to attract, develop and retain the talented individuals who will lead our business into the future by nurturing a dynamic and diverse culture for people who want to make a positive impact for the customers and communities we serve.
“Our new colleagues help to make that ambition a reality. We have been working closely with the Ministry of Labour to ensure that we align our strategy with their vision. We thank them for their collaboration efforts which helped us to identify the candidates.”
