Former longtime Qatar resident Ameerudheen (63) passed away in his native place in Kerala, India, on Thursday. The burial took place Friday.
A photographer at Photo Arts Studio at Abdulla Bin Thani Street for several years, Ameerudheen had left Qatar for good a few months ago. He was running a coconut oil mill at his native place Punnayoorkulam near Thrissur.
While in Qatar, Ameerudheen was actively involved in several social organisations in Qatar and had worked with community organisations in many social and charity activities. Amerudheen is survived by his wife Shakeela, son Afsar and daughters Asna and Afsa. 'Gulf Times' news photographer Thajudheen is his younger brother.
