* Visiting hours at HMC's non-Covid-19 facilities are from 11am to 8pm daily

Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has revised its visitor policy in view of the recent drop in Covid-19 cases in Qatar.
In a tweet Tuesday, HMC said visiting hours at its non-Covid-19 facilities are from 11am to 8pm daily, with effect from February 15.
HMC noted that the following measures remain in place to ensure the safety of patients and visitors:
* Visitors are required to display the green Ehteraz status 'on entry to the facilities.
* Visitors must wear masks at all times in HMC facilities, use the hand gel provided and keep a safe distance (from others).
* A maximum of two visitors are permitted at any time.
In its daily report, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) Tuesday said the most recent data appear to show that Qatar has reached the peak of the third wave of Covid-19 as the number of new daily cases is declining.
The MoPH Tuesday reported 547 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the country — 487 among the community and 60 among travellers. In comparison, there were 601 new cases on Monday, 613 on February 13, 607 on February 12, 657 on February 11, 783 on February 10, 776 on February 9 and 819 on February 8.
The support of the community in adhering to the government restrictions and standard Covid-19 precautions, as well as the high vaccination rate, has played a significant role in reaching a plateau of new daily cases, it noted.
