*Amir, head of Moroccan government discuss ways to enhance relations
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met with Head of Government of the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco Aziz Akhannouch and the accompanying delegation at Sheikh Abdullah Bin Jassim Majlis at the Amiri Diwan on Monday.
At the outset of the meeting, Akhannouch conveyed greetings of King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco to the Amir, wishing him good health and happiness, and the Qatari people continuous progress and prosperity.

During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and means of developing and strengthening them, in addition to the latest developments on the regional and international arenas.
The meeting was attended by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani and HE Chief of Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani.
On the Moroccan side, it was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Qatar Mohamed Setri.

Later, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani and Head of Government of Morocco Aziz Akhannouch co-chaired the meeting of the 8th session of the Qatar-Moroccan Joint Supreme Committee.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and means of developing them in various fields of cooperation, especially the fields of economy, investment, culture, sports and tourism. They also reviewed the recent regional and international developments and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
After the meeting, HE Sheikh Khalid and Akhannouch witnessed the signing of a number of programmes and memoranda of understanding (MoU) between the two governments.
They witnessed the signing of an MoU in the field of endowments and Islamic affairs, an MoU for cooperation in the fields of tourism and business events, and an MoU for cooperation in the field of oversight work between the State Audit Bureau of Qatar and the Supreme Court of Accounts in the Kingdom of Morocco.
They also witnessed the signing of the 5th executive programme of the cultural and technical agreement for the years 2022-2023-2024-2025, in addition to the signing of the second executive programme in the field of sports for the cooperation agreement between the two governments in the field of youth and sports for the years 2022-2023-2024, and the draft of the third executive programme in the field of youth for the cooperation agreement between the two governments in the field of youth and sports for the years 2022-2023-2024.
