The General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security held the graduation ceremony for the “cruiser commander in internal waters” course recently.
According to an official press statement by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Sunday, seven personnel from the General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security and National Service Academy attended the graduation.
The course was held at the Maritime Qualification and Training Centre at the General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security from January 2-February 3.
It included several naval exercises to provide participants with the skills necessary for cruiser command.
Brigadier Nasser Jabr al-Nuaimi, director-general of Coasts and Borders Security, expressed pleasure at the tasks and work accomplished by the participants during the training period and their keenness to benefit from the course in a way that contributes to raising the level of their performance.
He noted that the course was conducted within the framework of the plan of Coasts and Borders Security in the field of training in order to raise the efficiency of its personnel and as part of the co-operation with various authorities to raise the level of learners.
“The General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security carries out many important tasks and entrusted duties,” Brigadier al-Nuaimi said. “It gives great importance to training and qualification courses, which include all requirements and training needs while enabling the participants to get qualified at the highest level to help them perform the tasks entrusted to them to the fullest.”
He praised the efforts by the Maritime Qualification and Training Centre in terms of preparing for courses and selecting the appropriate ones.
The official added that daily practice adds more experience and efficiency to the skills that the participants obtained during the course and urged them to put in further effort and hard work.
