His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani attended on Friday evening the opening ceremony of the 24th Winter Olympics under the slogan 'Together for a Shared Future' at the National Stadium, known as the 'Bird's Nest', in China's capital Beijing.
The opening ceremony was attended by a number of members of the official delegation accompanying His Highness the Amir.
The events of the opening ceremony started with a visual display of artistic and lyrical shows with the entry of flags of participating countries amid a display of fireworks.
