The Ministry of Labour launched the first phase of the Qatarisation programme for jobs in the private sector, enabling all job seekers to apply for positions available in private sector companies.
The ministry revealed that it has offered 444 jobs in 48 private sector companies in various disciplines through the national employment platform 'Kawader' according to the competencies in the Qatarisation of jobs.
It called on Qatari job seekers and those wishing to work in the private sector to apply for jobs offered through the aforementioned national platform for employment and to take advantage of the benefits offered by private sector establishments to citizens within the Qatarisation programme.
The ministry stresses its keenness to provide all facilities and incentives that would encourage citizens to engage with major private sector companies and to provide an exemplary work environment.
The ministry indicated that it is developing plans and policies, consulting with private sector institutions, increasing the percentage of Qatarisation of jobs through the qualification and training of nationals, and studying the relevant legislative options.
The ministry is closely following the obstacles that citizens may face in their work for the local private sector establishments and companies and stressed that it is open to receiving any complaints regarding the Qatarisation of jobs in the private sector.
It said that it will intensify supervision over private sector companies to ensure the implementation of policies and plans for the Qatarisation of jobs and to benefit the national workforce.
In this regard, it explained its contribution during the last three months of last year by appointing about 230 citizens to various jobs in the private sector, as well as the appointment of 55 children of Qatari women.
