Qatar participated in the Gulf-European preparatory ministerial meeting which was held in the Belgian capital, Brussels. The State was represented in the meeting by Qatari ambassador to the European Union Abdulaziz bin Ahmed al-Malki, while the European side was represented by Deputy Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the European External Action Service Karl Hallergaard.
