The easing of some Covid-19 restrictions in Qatar will begin on Saturday, as announced by the Cabinet recently.
Children and unvaccinated people will be allowed in malls, libraries and other places, while kids will also be permitted to enter mosques.
Following are the details, as explained by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH):

* Business and Leisure
- Allow shopping malls to operate at full capacity and food courts at 50% capacity, while allowing vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals and children.
- Allow outdoor dining at full capacity for restaurants and cafes certified by the Qatar Clean programme and 50% for other restaurants and cafes. Allow indoor dining for vaccinated customers and their children under 12 years old at 75% capacity for restaurants and cafes certified by the Qatar Clean programme and 40% for other restaurants and cafes.
- Allow souqs to operate throughout the week at full capacity, and allow children to enter.
- Maintain capacity in wholesale markets at 75%, allowing vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals and children. Auctions continue to be allowed.
- Allow gyms, health clubs and massage services to operate at a maximum capacity of 75%, while closing saunas, steam rooms, Moroccan and Turkish baths, and allowing the opening of changing rooms, showers and jacuzzi services. All staff members and clients must be vaccinated.
- Continue to allow the opening of swimming pools and water parks at a maximum capacity of 75% outdoors, and 50% indoors provided that among that percentage for indoors, 75% of customers are vaccinated. Also allowed is the entry of children under 12 years of age, accompanied by their families only, as part of the 25% capacity permitted for unvaccinated individuals. All staff members must be vaccinated.
- Allow amusement parks and entertainment centres to operate at a maximum capacity of 75% outdoors and 50% indoors provided that among that percentage for indoors 75% of customers are vaccinated. Also allowed is the entry of children under 12 years of age, accompanied by their families only, as part of the 25% capacity permitted for unvaccinated individuals. All staff members must be vaccinated.
- Continuing to allow cleaning and hospitality companies to provide their services through their vaccinated staff, in one or more households, and facilities contracting with them during working hours at full capacity.
- Continue to allow 100% capacity at the workplace, with essential business meetings limited to 30 vaccinated individuals.
- Continue to allow a capacity of up to 50% in cinemas and theatres, provided that 75% of customers are vaccinated. Children under 12 years of age are allowed to enter as part of the 25% capacity allowed for unvaccinated individuals.
- Allow museums and libraries to open at full capacity for vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals of all ages.
- Continue to allow barbershops and hairdressers to operate at 50% capacity for vaccinated clients only. Only two children under 12 allowed at a time. All staff members must be vaccinated.
- Continue to allow exhibitions and cultural events at a maximum capacity of 50% outdoors and 30% indoors, while all attendees must be vaccinated. All events are subject to pre-authorisation by the Ministry of Public Health.

* Social Gatherings
- Continue to allow outdoor social gatherings of up to 15 vaccinated people, and indoor social gatherings of up to of 10 vaccinated people, with the exception of members of the same household.
- Continue to allow daily prayers and Friday prayers in mosques and allow children to enter, while adhering to the precautionary measures determined by the MoPH and the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, and allowing the opening of toilets and ablution facilities in selected mosques.
- Continue to allow wedding parties in hotels and independent wedding halls only. Indoor parties to be limited to 30% capacity with a maximum of 40 people, while outdoor parties to be limited to 50% capacity with a maximum of 80 people. All guests must be vaccinated.

* Transportation
- Continue to allow personal boats for family members only or a maximum of 12 individuals. Rental, excursion and touristic boats are allowed at a maximum capacity of 30%, not exceeding 15 individuals, for vaccinated individuals only. All staff members must be vaccinated.
- Continuing the operation of Doha Metro services and public transport services, not exceeding 75% of the capacity throughout the week, with the continued closure of smoking areas, and not allowing food and drinks.
- Continue to allow driving schools to operate at full capacity if 75% or more of trainees are vaccinated, and a capacity not exceeding 75% if the percentage of immunised trainees is less than 75% of the total number of trainees. All staff members must be vaccinated.

* Outdoor and Sports
- Continue to allow groups of up to 15 people to gather in public parks, on beaches and the Corniche, with the exception of same household members. Allow 75% occupancy in private beaches. Playgrounds and gym equipment to remain open. Toilets to remain open in selected parks.
- Continue to allow preparatory training for local and international tournaments approved by the MoPH, as well as professional training indoors and outdoors.
- Continue to allow professional sports events and tournaments subject to approval by the Ministry of Public Health, with spectator capacity limited to 50% outdoor and 30% indoor, with only vaccinated spectators allowed.
- Continue to allow training for age groups from 18 years and under for Qatari sports clubs and federations for vaccinated individuals only, with a maximum of 40 people outdoors and 30 people indoors with no spectators, and suspend training for children under 12 years in private clubs.
- Continue the suspension of local and private sports leagues and tournaments for all age groups and adults, and the suspension of community sports tournaments and activities.

* Education
- Adopting physical attendance in schools and kindergartens at 100% capacity, with mandatory weekly testing (rapid antigen test conducted at home) for all students. This comes into effect tomorrow.
- Continue to allow 1:5 sessions in special needs centres. All instructors must be vaccinated.
- Allow private training centres to operate at a capacity not exceeding 75%, and full capacity if 75% or more of the total number of trainees are vaccinated, provided that all trainers are vaccinated.
- Allow nurseries to operate at a maximum capacity of 75%. All staff members must be vaccinated.
