The 73rd Republic Day of India was celebrated at Ideal Indian School (IIS) with patriotic fervour.
India celebrates Republic Day in commemoration of a historic moment when the Constitution, which was adopted by the Constituent Assembly, came into effect.
In a spectacular ceremony, principal Syed Shoukath Ali hoisted the Indian flag, while Dr Sheikh Ehteshamuddin recited verses from the Holy Qur'an. Anwar Sadath hosted the event. The principal extended his greetings on the occasion.
The ceremony concluded with the rendition of the national anthem by teachers. Heads of sections, heads of departments and teaching and non-teaching staff attended the function. All Covid-19 norms and safety protocols were followed during the ceremony.
