The Public Relations Department, in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Civil Defence (GDCD) at the Ministry of Interior, is organising an awareness webinar Thursday on 'Fire safety during the winter'. The webinar will take place from 10am to 12noon through the Webex video conferencing platform. Officials from the GDCD will attend the event and present papers on the importance of the awareness of fire safety, knowledge of the sources of fire and prevention methods. The presentation will cover various topics related to safety measures to be observed during the camping season, such as the safe usage of electricity and heaters, safety guidelines during cooking, risks of using wood or coal for heating, cases leading to suffocation, safety guidelines for children and general fire safety tips at homes, workplaces and in vehicles.
