Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association Qatar (AMUAAQ) has installed a new managing committee and conducted the international release of the book 'Aligarh Muslim University' by Mohamed Wajihuddin at a recent ceremony.
The new officials are Dr Nadeem Zafar Jilani (president), Dr Syed Intekhab Alam (head of healthcare), Mohamed Faisal Naseem (vice-president), Mohamed Farman Khan (general secretary), Mamnoon Ahmad Bangash (head of membership and captain cricket), Dr Ashna Nusrat (vice president - ladies membership), Farrukh Ali Farooqi (head of sports - cricket, football, table tennis, badminton), Ghazala Yasmeen (head of literary and cultural activity), Dr Shima Sadaf (head of training and development), Mohamed Nayeem (head of Toastmaster membership) and Abad Ahmed Khan (head of associate membership).
Ceremony compere Dr Ashna Nusrat thanked the outgoing president Jawed Ahmad and welcomed the new managing committee. For the book release, author Wajihuddin addressed the meeting via video call. Dr Jilani unveiled the book. Ahmad congratulated the author for the book laced with history, anecdotes and references to contemporary issues. Bangash read out some selected passages for the audience.
