In an urgent response to the humanitarian needs at Syrian refugee camps in the Arsal area on the Syrian-Lebanese border, Qatar Charity (QC) sent a convoy of 10 trucks as a first batch containing food baskets with basic supplies, clothes and fuel for heating.

This aid falls under the 'Arsal Relief' initiative within the framework of the Qatar Charity campaign, 'Warmth and Peace', and will be distributed in six camps in co-operation with the Islamic Authority for Welfare. This aid comes at a time when a severe cold wave continues in the Arsal region, with snowfall and sub-zero temperatures at night, in order to alleviate the suffering of refugees, which is increasing in light of the low temperatures as well as rainfall. People in the area are currently living under the impact of the second snowstorm during the winter season. One can donate to the campaign through the Qatar Charity website, www.qcharity.org, branches and collection points located in malls and commercial centres in addition to requesting for a home collector and dialing 44667711 for donating.
