The State of Qatar participated in the 7th meeting of the Undersecretaries of the Arab Ministries of Finance for the Arab Monetary Fund, which was held via videoconferencing.

Assistant Undersecretary for Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Finance Saoud bin Abdullah Al Attiyah represented the State of Qatar in the meeting.

During the meeting, they reviewed developments in financial policies, and the economic and financial reform efforts undertaken by the authorities in the Arab countries to restore and strengthen recovery to achieve economic and financial stability and promote comprehensive and sustainable growth.

The meeting's agenda included a number of topics and working papers of importance to Arab countries, including "Updating the state's role to stimulate growth driven by the private sector," submitted by the International Monetary Fund, and a report on the "Challenges of the health sector's failure on macroeconomic transformations in the Arab region," submitted by the World Bank. The meeting comes in preparation for the next meeting of the Council of Arab Finance Ministers.
