The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change called on all residents to co-operate with it and preserve and protect Qatar's environment, stressing that it will take the necessary legal measures against violators, QNA reported.
In a statement on Monday, the ministry said that the patrols of its Protection and Wildlife Department managed recently to register 15 violations of the decision to ban grazing, noting that the necessary legal action will be taken against environmental violations. The ministry said environmental monitoring patrols work round-the-clock to preserve the Qatari environment, and are deployed in various regions of the country to protect meadows and reserves from environmental encroachments and violations. The ministry called for reporting any violation in this regard by contacting the unified call centre number 184, and stressed the need to comply with Law No 32 of 1995, preventing damage to plant ecology and ecosystems.
