The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced the start of registration for the 5th batch of students at Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys (QSTSS) for the academic year 2022-2023, from Sunday until Feb 24.
Registration can be made through the link: https://www.edu.gov.qa/ar/Pages/ServiceCatalog/StudentRegisteration.aspx. The registration will be limited to Qatari students currently enrolled in the eighth grade in government and international schools.
In a press statement, the Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at the Ministry of Education, Fawzia Abdulaziz al-Khater, said that Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys is a government school that offers a modern curriculum based on the integration of science, technology, engineering and mathematics in English for outstanding Qatari students, and includes grades 9-12.
She explained that applications are being received from students currently enrolled in the eighth grade who will join the ninth grade in the academic year 2022-2023.
Al-Khater called on outstanding Qatari students who wish to enrol at the Qatar School of Science and Technology to seize the valuable opportunity.
She noted that the school qualifies students to enrol and compete at prestigious universities to study related disciplines that serve the country's knowledge economy, development trends and meets the requirements of the local and global labour market.
The registration requirements are that the student is a Qatari citizen, with not less than 80% in the last academic report, and should have obtained 80% or above in mathematics, science and English, and passes the admission test in English, mathematics as well as the personal interview.
