The Met office has forecast from Friday, the beginning of the Shabbat Season, considered the coldest winter season locally and lasting about 26 days.
A gradual increase in the amount of clouds is expected and weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of scattered rain of varying intensity at intermittent intervals from today until Tuesday, and may turn thundery at times.
The wind will be southeasterly - southwesterly, with speeds ranging between 14-24 knots (kt) daytime, with gusts exceeding 30kt over some areas at times causing blowing dust and reducing horizontal visibility to less than 3km at times. Winds are expected to shift to northwesterly at the beginning of Monday, and will continue until the end of next week, at moderate to fresh speed reaching strong daytime on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The marine condition is not suitable for activities as the wave height is expected to exceed 10ft during the period of weather fluctuations. The northwesterly winds are also accompanied by a noticeable decrease in temperatures with a greater feeling of coldness, especially during the night and early morning hours, where the maximum is expected in the 16-22C range and the minimum in the 8-15C range and even cooler in the southern and exterior areas.
