The Secretary-General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation, (QTSBF) Tariq Darwish Zainal retained the position of Vice President of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) for West Asia for the next two years, during the meeting of the members of the Board of Directors of the Federation, which was held via videoconferencing.
In a press statement, Zainal said that his re-election to the position of Vice President of the ATF represents a new success for the Qatari sports, and reflects the great confidence that the State of Qatar enjoys from all regional, continental, and international sports structures, expressing his hope to continue working with officials in Asian Confederation to develop the game across the continent.
He pointed out that Qatar Tennis Federation seeks to advance the game in Asia by organising several continental tournaments and providing all possible facilities for Asian players to participate in them.
Zainal had retained the membership of the ATF Board of Directors for the next two years, after obtaining the vote of all members of the General Assembly during the elections held in November.
