* New Covid travel, return list from 7pm on Jan 8
The updated lists of countries' classification based on severity of the Covid-19 pandemic, as part of the travel and return policy for Qatar, will come into effect at 7pm on January 8.
The announcement was made by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Wednesday and the updated lists of countries can be found here.
Covid-19 Exceptional Red List (High Risk List) Countries are Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, Zimbabwe.
Covid-19 Red List which features a total of 57 countries, includes Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Philippines, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Turkey, the UAE, the UK, and the US.
Covid-19 Green List Countries are 143, including Afghanistan, Argentina, Bahrain, Brazil, China, Cuba, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Oman, Palestine, Russia, Singapore, Syria, and Vietnam.
The MoPH constantly updates the lists of countries according to the global situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, as part of its efforts to combat the virus.
