Overseas Friends Welfare Association in collaboration with Building & Woodworkers International and with the support of Indian Association of Bihar and Jharkhand organised a health awareness programme and a panel discussion at the Olive International School.
It was held in association with Hamad Medical Corporation’s Tobacco Control Centre in connection with Qatar National Day.
Noor El Nakib from HMC shared a presentation with the audience and explained the seriousness of the problem. She further shared how the Tobacco Control Centre is helping people to quit the habit. Dr Naufal Rizwan from Allevia Medical Centre, shared some useful insights about the repercussions of having diabetes and its management. An interactive panel discussion that ensued also featured Dr Rajeev Sharma (Ministry of Interior), advocate Nizar Kochery and Ubaid Tahir (107 FM), and moderated by Anu Sharma.
