QSindhis recently organized its 7th Pakistan Sindhi Cultural Day parallel to Qatar National Day on 17th December, 2021 at Retaj Salwa Resort.

The event was attended by notable personalities, including the Ambassador of Pakistan Syed Ahsan Raza Shah, Pakistan Embassy’s CWA Waheedullah Wazir and Arsalan Tanoli, Director of Community Policing Department at Ministry of Interior, Dr. Ibrahim Muhammad Rashid Al Sameih, along with heads of various Pakistani Community Forums.

The community members, their families and children were dressed in graceful Sindhi Cultural attires with Ajrak- Sindhi Cap, reflecting unity and pride in Sindh’s rich culture.

Muhammad Sheikh and Lateef Memon welcomed the chief guest of the event, the Ambassador of Pakistan Syed Ahsan Raza Shah, and special guest of the event Colonel Dr. Ibrahim Mohd. Rashid Al-Semaih.

Junaid Sarwar thanked CWA of Pakistan Embassy Waheedullah Wazir for their support and Ministry of Culture, Government of Sindh, Pakistan for sponsoring the stars of Sindh Zamin Ali and Deeba Sehar, who entertained the entire crowd with zeal and zest.

M Ali Rajper conveyed the welcome speech in which he briefed about the history of Sindh, Pakistan.

QSindhis little stars also participated in the event where Rania Muhammad, student of Pakistan International School, gave the presentation on Journey to Sindh, Pakistan, which consisted detailed information about traditions and culture of Sindh.

QSindhis Core Committee members Omair Rind, Iftikhar Jatoi, Atif Dogar, Riaz Shaikh, Jaam Feroz, Abdullah Soomro, Aftab Abro, Haneef Abro, Tariq Mangrio, Adnan Qureshi, Maqsood Mangi and Adnan Soomro took the opportunity to present Ajrak- Sindhi Cap, and shields to all notable guests from Pakistan Embassy, Principle of Pakistan International School and Community Policing Department MOI Qatar.

The special guest of the event Colonel Rashid thanked QSindhis for organizing an excellent cultural event and said he was inspired by the achievements of QSindhis since 2014. During his speech, he described the role of community policing department, MOI, Qatar to all participants of the event.

The chief guest of the event Syed Ahsan Raza Shah awarded shields to Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed Tago & Dr. Shabnam Jatoi for serving the community during pandemic. Syed Ahsan Raza Shah awarded the shields to Zarish Rind and Mahnoor Rind who specially travelled from Sindh, Pakistan to volunteer their services for FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021.

Chief Guest Syed Ahsan Raza Shah applauded the Sindhi community’s efforts in promoting inter community unity. Talking to community he announced that this event is recognized by MOFA Qatar as a state level event and congratulated core committee of QSindhis for organizing a mega cultural event where all communities took part and celebrated the colors of rich Sindh’s Culture. Moreover, He congratulates the leadership of the host country on successful football tournament FIFA ARAB CUP Qatar 2021.

Zamin Ali and Deeba Sahar entertained the audience with Folk Sindhis songs and program ended with Ho Jamalo (Sindh’s musical symbol).

Sindhi Handcrafts gallery was established by organizers to display and promote handcrafts of Sindh, the guests from other communities were very inspired by such art work.

Junaid Sarwar added that the purpose of organizing such events is to promote and highlight the colors of Sindh and bright face of Pakistan in front of world.

The aim of this celebration is to enhance inter-community unity for the national development and prosperity of Pakistan besides upholding the prestige of Pakistan globally and strengthen Pak-Qatar relationship added Muhammad Sheikh at closing ceremony of Event.

Co-founder of QSindhis Asif Memon from Birmingham UK, reiterated that QSindhis Social Forum will continue a constructive role with Pakistani Community Forums, Pakistan Embassy and Qatari Authorities to perform its activities this year to participate and represent our beloved country Pakistan in FIFA World Cup 2021 Qatar.
