Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) is participating in the fourth edition of Dawn Challenge on December 17 at Katara - The Cultural Village.
The event aims to raise public awareness about men's health and prevention, and early detection of prostate cancer, especially as it is the second most common type of cancer in Qatar among males of all nationalities, according to the Qatar National Cancer Registry - Ministry of Public Health 2016.
Zakaria Karazon, acting head of Business Development Department, QCS, said that registration for the event can be done here until December 16 and the participation fee is QR100.
The challenge will be held in three categories of 5km, 10km, and 21km and several prominent sports personalities led by cyclist Abdullah al-Hammadi and traveller Ali bin Towar al-Kuwari will participate in the event.
The tournament was launched as part of the 'you can do it' campaign launched by QCS to raise awareness of men's health.
