In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of the National Day, HE Dr al-Nabit said that this day is a historic turning point that illustrated the features of the life of every Qatari, as well as an opportunity to inspire different values in the life and history of Qataris, such as cohesion, unity and social solidarity.
He added that the National Day is an occasion to celebrate the achievements and renew the determination to move forward on the path of prosperity and progress in all fields, in addition to adhering to sovereignty and firm national principles and recalling the historical march of the country and its achievements in all fields, which are felt by the Qatari citizen in his or her life on a daily basis.
Dr al-Nabit said Qatar will remain as it has always been, free and proud, with the efforts and sacrifices of its people who have always proven that they stand together, regardless of the circumstances and challenges. He noted that the harmony and cohesion among the Qatari people brings to mind the beginning of the founding of the State and the strenuous efforts made by the pioneers in order to serve the country, which imposes on everyone in this country the responsibility to preserve these achievements in order to reach the goals that everyone seeks to achieve.
He said that he considers this day as a day of loyalty to the ancestors who sacrificed for the sake of the homeland, adding that it is also the day of loyalty to the wise leadership that led and continues to lead the modern renaissance of Qatar, and which succeeded in leading the country and people during major challenges and turning points.
He stressed that the State, with all its institutions, is moving forward to achieve the goals and objectives contained in the Qatar National Vision 2030 and its implementation strategies, especially as it represents another turning point for the future of Qatar and for all citizens of this generous country.
He stressed that Qatar, at the hands of its Founder and leaders, made great achievements in the nation-building process, and it is now continuing under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, as more developmental achievements are being made in order to chart a bright future for the next generation and to provide an environment of prosperity and well-being for the country and the citizens.
HE Dr al-Nabit pointed out that the world witnessed how Qatar succeeded in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic, explaining that it was not satisfied with the achievements in all development fields alone, but rather it emerged from this challenge more resilient and determined to strengthen the Qatari economy, which continues to grow at an accelerating pace.
In this context, he emphasised the need to continue working hard to preserve these achievements and to invest in future generations by strengthening the meanings of loyalty and belonging to the homeland, so that future generations can enjoy the prosperity and stability that has characterised Qatar since its establishment until today.
