Dr Pou and his wife were briefed on the most prominent features of Lusail Stadium in terms of its architecture and capacity, the use of the latest technologies and international standards in design. The president expressed his admiration for the distinguished engineering details of the stadium. The Uruguayan president said Qatar has made great efforts to fulfil its promises to complete FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 facilities at an early date, which confirms that Qatar will present the world with an unprecedented and exceptional edition of the World Cup. He added that Uruguay will work to benefit from the Qatari expertise in the field of sports, especially football, and the advanced technologies that have been used in the construction of Lusail Stadium.
