The King of the Court Finals will be held at Aspire Zone from January 5-8, 2022. The ultimate fight for the crowns will be contested by the combined top-10 teams from Hamburg and Utrecht, who will battle it out with five invitational teams in both genders. The total amount of prize money for the King of the Court events will be $150,000.
Beach Volleyball in Qatar has been growing over the past years. With the four-star World Tour events that have proven to be top class. Home team Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan have shown the world their immense potential, winning a bronze medal at Tokyo Olympics and reaching the five World Tour four-star finals. They also picked up the title in the one-star event in Doha last February.
Known for hosting high-end multi-sport events, Aspire Zone has an impact that drives international progress in sports. Dutch organiser Sportworx has signed a long-term deal with Aspire to host King of the Court in Doha.
One added objective is to develop the sport even more in the region, the organisers said.
