The General Administration of Endowments at the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs held a ceremony honouring the winning consulting offices in the design competition for the Mozah Bint Mohamed Centre for Qur'an and Advocacy project in Al-Waab area.
During the ceremony, the Director General of the General Administration of Endowments Dr Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Ghanem al-Thani announced the names of the winners.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the centre is one of the leading centres in its field, due to its various programmes, activities and events.
He pointed out that the selection of the winners was based on several criteria, the most important of which are the aesthetic criterion and the idea, the criterion of space utilisation, as well as the cost criterion.
The new project is a renovation of the previous centre that existed at the same site, and part of it was demolished as a result of the construction of new bridges for the Sabah Al-Ahmad Corridor project. QNA)
