Al Rayyan Municipality's health control section carried out during October a total of 2,613 regular inspection tours and issued 41 violation reports, including eight which were referred to the security entities concerned.
The section also followed up on 80 related complaints. The inspectors supervised the slaughtering of 2,993 heads of livestock at the public slaughterhouses and ordered the destruction of 17 full carcasses, in addition to around 160kg of meat for being unsuitable for human consumption.
