HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah al-Ghanem met separately on Saturday with President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Duarte Pacheco and Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs of the Russian Federation Leonid Slutsky, on the sidelines of the 143rd IPU Assembly in Madrid, Spain, QNA reported. During the two meetings, they exchanged views on issues on the Assembly's agenda. Also, they reviewed the existing bilateral parliamentary relations between the Shura Council, the IPU, and the Russian State Duma, and ways to enhance them. Qatar's ambassador to Spain Abdullah bin Ibrahim al-Hamar and several members of the Shura Council delegation attended the two meetings.
