A delegation of Qatar, chaired by HE the Special Envoy of the Foreign Minister for Counterterrorism and Mediation of Conflict Resolution Ambassador Dr Mutlaq al-Qahtani, met on Friday with a delegation from the Afghan caretaker government, chaired by Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan.
They discussed topics related to counterterrorism, humanitarian aid and enhancement of human rights.
The two sides stressed on the importance of humanitarian aid reaching its beneficiaries, especially with the winter season approaching.
Qatar stressed, during the meeting, the importance of the continued operation of schools in Afghanistan, and the importance of giving all segments of the Afghan society, including girls, access to education.
Qatar also stressed its commitment to continue work with all Afghan parties and international partners to enhance stability in Afghanistan.
For its part, the caretaker Afghan government expressed its gratitude and appreciation for Qatar's role in supporting the Afghan people and enhancing security and stability in Afghanistan.
