The Pakistan embassy on Wednesday held a Khuli Kacheri (Open House) for community members as per directives of the Prime Minister.
The latest event, was an e-Kacheri in which ambassador Syed Ahsan Raza Shah spoke on the telephone with all the registered participants and discussed their issues. All officers of different wings of the mission were also present.
A statement issued by the embassy explained that the issues were usually related to employees/workers and employers/sponsors disputes with respect to salaries, end of service benefits and related documentations. Some cases of consular services were also highlighted by the community members. They also presented their concerns and issues to be referred back home in Pakistan.
Some Pakistani expatriates also gave suggestions to further improve the community's visibility in Qatar through new organisations whereas others appreciated the Pakistani School Doha education standards under comparatively low fee structure. The ambassador referred the issues to the respective wings for prompt action and resolution by taking them up with respective employers, and local authorities in addition to related legal guidance.
He also welcomed the ideas for active engagement of Pakistani community in various socio-cultural chapters of the host government.
The Pakistani community appreciated the efforts of the embassy in holding such events and the mission thanked them for the active participation, the statement added.
