The kindergarten section of Birla Public School (BPS) celebrated Children’s Day in high spirits on November 14 on campus through a virtual platform.
Children's Day marks the birth anniversary of independent India's first prime minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He was known for his relentless effort to increase awareness of the rights, care and education of children.
"Childhood is an enchanting vista, endless fun, a joyful classroom, an experience, an era of imagination, an artistic journey and an ode to love. Once Pandit Nehru said: 'The children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The way they bring them up will determine the future of the country'," the school said in a statement.
It was a fun-filled day for the students. The teachers made the day special with a lot of joyful and exhilarating activities and videos. The students were elated to see one of their peers dressed as 'Chacha Nehru'.
All students were excited about the day, which included music, games, dance, colouring, and snacks to munch on. The day also included a special Barney dance that brought a smile to their faces. To make the Children’s Day more special and memorable, the teachers sent an e-card to the students.
