As part of the Qatar-USA 2021 Year of Culture, the US embassy in Doha, in partnership with Katara – the Cultural Village and the Doha Film Institute, will hold the Qatar-USA Festival from November 24-29.
The festival aims to promote intercultural exchanges between the US and Qatar by bringing together the two countries’ rich and unique cultures through events and activities throughout Doha’s most popular landmarks, according to a press statement.
The festival includes events and activities such as jazz performances by the New York-based Grammy Award-winning Charlie Porter Quintet, open air family-friendly movie screenings in collaboration with the Doha Film Institute, spectacular dance performances by Texas-based Soul Street Dance Company, and cooking masterclass sessions and taste discussion about unique American dishes by renowned and award-winning American chef William Dissen and chef Saif Rahman.

* Dance – Soul Street Hip Hop and Street Dance Performance, 7pm on November 24 at Katara Opera House.
* Culinary – American chef and culinary diplomat William Dissen, 5pm on November 25, at Flat White, Iconic 2022.
* Music – The Charlie Porter Quintet, 8pm on November 27 at Katara Opera House.
Spots are limited, and seats can be booked at Katara.net.
There will also be music by the US Afcent Band throughout the festival.

* Film – Cinema Under the Stars, everyday at 7pm from November 25-27 at Katara Hills.
