The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology will organize between the months of the current month November and next February a series of remote symposiums to shed light on the latest research and technological applications in the field of e-commerce.

The 12 symposiums aim to increase the awareness of entrepreneurs, SMEs, start-ups and entrepreneurs, and consolidate their knowledge about e-commerce. They will also address a number of important topics in the field of e-commerce, including e-commerce guidelines in Qatar, and steps to establish launching an online store, and how to help e-commerce companies understand and adopt best practices in accordance with international standards.

The first symposium will be held on Monday under the title "Activate Your Online Store Channel: Guidelines for Success". The symposiums series will also host a number of influential speakers with expertise in the field of e-commerce and local entrepreneurs to share their experiences and success stories with participants and users of their platforms.

The symposiums will also introduce the owners of e-commerce companies and workers in this sector to the official portal of the trust mark for e-commerce companies "Thiqa", through which e-commerce companies can obtain the trust mark approved by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, after fulfilling the required criteria.

The presence of the "Thiqa" mark confirms that the e-commerce site is approved by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to sell goods and services online, in addition to building and instilling confidence in shoppers, and encouraging them to prefer local e-commerce sites.
