The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021 on Thursday inaugurated the headquarters of the main Ticket Sales Centre and Hayya Card (Fan ID) at the Doha Exhibition Centre (DEC) in Al Qassar.
The highly-anticipated tournament, which will bring together Arab world’s best 16 sides, will be held at six FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 venues from November 30 to December 18. The ticketing centre at DEC will be operational from 10am to 10pm, and from 2pm to 10pm on while on Fridays.
The LOC members including Project Lead of Fan Service, LOC Hassan Rabeea al-Kuwari, Chief of Tournament Experience SC Khalid al-Mawlawi, Executive Director of Technology & Innovation SC Sami al-Shammari and Doha Exhibition Centre Venue Manager Ahmed al-Thani revealed details at the press conference that took place at the DEC.
“We have named the Fan ID Hayya, which will give best experience to fans,” Al Mawlawi told reporters yesterday. “The Arab Cup will be a great opportunity for fans to enjoy football. With the Hayya Card, they will be able to enjoy a lot of privileges like travelling in Metro which will make their experience of the tournament memorable,” he added.
All fans will be required to have an approved Hayya Card (Fan ID) application number to enter the State of Qatar and the FIFA Arab Cup stadiums. All fans will be required to collect their physical Hayya (Fan ID) smart card from the Fan ID Service Centre.
The Hayya Card (Fan ID) is a smart-technology identification card designed to provide fans with the best experience in Qatar and will serve as a means of identification and provide access to tournament stadiums in combination with a valid match ticket.
Fans travelling from abroad can use their Hayya Card (Fan ID) to enter Qatar multiple times – provided they carry a valid passport recognised by the State of Qatar. It will also provide ticket holders with access to a number of services and benefits relating to transport, tourism and others.
Fans should apply for their Fan ID once they have paid for their match tickets and have received their ticket application number by email. Fan ID applications can be submitted online via the host country entry portal website (FAC21.qa).

Over 50 percent tickets sold: al-Kuwari
Meanwhile, al-Kuwari, Project Lead of Fan Service, LOC informed over 50 percent of tickets for the Arab Cup has already been sold out. “I would like to advise fans to act fast if they want to catch live action at the World Cup venues,” he said.
“The tickets are selling fast and as we are intensifying our operations by launching new centers, we expect ticket to be sold out soon,” he added.
He added that some matches of the Arab Cup have already been sold out. “Overall, more than 50 percent of the tickets have been sold out and tickets for some matches are available no more. We expect to finish tickets sale soon and are looking forward to packed stadiums at the Arab Cup,” al-Kuwari added.
Currently, tickets for all 32 matches are available. This includes a selection of affordable category 4 tickets costing QAR 25 each (Qatar residents only) for all matches, except the semi-finals and final. As with Qatar 2022, fans will be able to attend more than one match per day, as long as there is enough time to get to the second stadium using public transport.
The two venues to be unveiled during the event will be Al Bayt Stadium and Ras Abu Aboud Stadium. Both will be inaugurated on 30 November – the opening day of the tournament. The tournament is seen as a golden opportunity to test preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2022, which will take place in a similar timeslot next year.
The FIFA Arab Cup will take place over 19 days, with the final taking place on December 18, which is the Qatar National day.
