The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs launched Wednesday its new website, under the auspices of HE the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ghanem bin Shaheen al-Ghanem. The website is equipped with the latest design technologies, and supports all of the ministry's services on one platform. The website also introduced new online services to facilitate and improve its overall service provided to the public, in a bid to limit paper transactions in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 of making most of the ministry's services available electronically.
Acting Director of Information Technology Department in the Ministry Mohamed Hassan al-Malki said that the total number of e-services available to the public are 41. He added that there will be other seasonal services added when they are needed, such as the services related to the month of Ramadan. He revealed that the ministry is looking into adding other new services. He said that the new website is linked to the systems of the Ministry of Interior. He added that those seeking the service can follow up on its progress using a request number they will receive via SMS.
