The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), through its representative office in the Gaza Strip, signed a cooperation agreement with the Palestinian Ministry of Health to implement a project to provide the necessary medicines for cancer patients in the Gaza Strip, to alleviate their suffering, in light of the continuing medicines shortage due to the siege and closure of crossings.

The project includes the supply of chemotherapy drugs to cancer patients in the Gaza Strip, benefiting 8,644 male and female patients for 10 months.

QRCS supports the implementation of the project with joint funding with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) and the Kuwait Finance House, as part of the continuous support for the health sector in Palestine, which suffers severe damage, especially after the recent aggression on the Gaza Strip in May, which severely affected the sector's ability to provide the necessary medical and curative care services for cancer patients in Gaza.

HE Secretary-General of QRCS Ambassador Ali bin Hassan Al Hammadi and HE Chairman of KRCS Dr. Hilal Musaed Al Sayer had recently signed a cooperation agreement to support and implement the project via joint funding.
Under the agreement, the two parties share the financing of the project.
