The Kindergarten and the Junior Sections of MES Indian School recently celebrated the Annual Sports Day with much fanfare and vibrancy.
Various sports activities, including running races, standing broad jump, ball throw, pick and run and hula hoop race, were organised for the participants while strictly adhering to the Covid-19 protocol.
Young athletes took part in each event enthusiastically and with great confidence, the school said in a statement.
In the Junior Section, competitions were conducted among the participants of Blue, Green, Red and Yellow Houses of the school. The judges of the selection committee recorded the finalists and announced the winners. By virtue of the highest accumulated winning points, the Blue House emerged as the overall champion.
Hameeda Kadar, principal, MES Indian School, felicitated the winners for their exceptional performances and honoured the individual champions with gold, silver and bronze medals and certificates, while the winning house captain received a trophy. She also appreciated the initiatives taken by the Department of Physical Education and the active involvement of teachers and the other officials of the school in nurturing students’ athletic abilities to excel in sports and games.
